THE OLD MINT, Liegenschaftsfond Berlin, 2009–2016

The Old Mint in Berlin – Die Alte Münze – was operated by FTWild Communication on behalf of the Liegenschaftsfond Berlin. During the time it was a space for old and new treasures in the capital! The former mint, with almost 1,200 square meters of space – about the size of a regulation hockey rink – is located in the heart of Berlin. Including several production halls and a passerelle, the buildings had almost been forgotten until the Liegenschaftsfond Berlin – a city-owned property management agency – released the location to start being used as an interim event space.

After a short planning and conversion process in 2009, FTWild opened the new event location with a Media Night for the Media Board Berlin-Brandenburg in the Old Mint, the newest event location in the city’s historic centre. This was followed by numerous club nights and party events, countless conferences and a selection of first-class events and gastronomy productions, including the Calvin Klein Fashion Show and the Prêt à Diner by Kofler.

The journey ended for FTWild in 2016 and the location found a new operator.
